In my opinion, dogs are better than cats because dogs are helpful and
some people that can not see use dog to show 

them and use them as guard dogs.

Dogs can bring you shoes and can know when earthquakes and tsunamis
will happen. Unlike dogs they are lazy and they can sometimes be just as
loud as dogs.

But when dogs are loud and it is trained and you tell it to sit and be quiet
they will unlike most cats. They are noisy most of the time no will not
listen to you.

And dogs are very loving animals and train dog will not hurt you. Dogs
are funny there are a lot things about dogs that I like and because when
I had the best dog. 

Dog have been my favourite animal ever since I was little. I am like all
the dogs (not Chihuahua).

Area

Area is the inside of a shape and the outside is a perimeter. Area for a rectangle and the formula is Area = Length x breath (lxb) but if it is a square the formula is sides x sides (sxs) and the reason that the formula is different is because the side are different 

My holidays

In the holidays, I did a lot of things. Like went to the movies went to went with my cousins and more

On the first week of the holidays I went  to the matariki with my friends.
WHen we first got there we went to the shop. When we got my friend Drake
asked me ‘‘Can you go the drinks,’’ I replied ‘‘Sure,’’ Because I was thirsty and
wanted a drink. When we got to the matariki light it was really cool. When you
enter you see small lights that are green blue and red. At the end of the week 
there would be big fireworks. Fast Forward 1 week later we are at the movies
here to watch Spider man far far from home it was an alright movie it is not
better than Aladdin but it was cool. The next day we watch Lion King one of my
favorite movies. DISNEY RUINED IT there are mutiupull things that Disney
change like Rafiki does not use his stick until he fights the hyenas. And the
song be prepared it is shorter and no LAVA that was my favorite part and Scar
was my favorite character in the original now it looks like he has a lion who ate
half of this own hair and now he has a hole in his ear. But the Lion King was one
of the best live action movies. The last movie of the holidays that I watched
was Toy Story 4. All I have to say it is really funny and that was my holidays.

My Basic Facts

                                  I am on stage 8 !!!!!

I have finally gotten off stage 7 and onto stage 8 this is  my first test on stage 8 and I'm surprise that I got over 50% on stage 8. I hope I can complete Prototec Basic Facts and win Ten dollars from my teacher. Wish me  good luck Stage 8 is hard but I will try to overcome it I hope that I will be the first one to get off stage 8. At the start of term my whole class and I  were on  stage 4 and now I and some other people are off stage 4 and on things like 8,7,6 .  

Basic fact Term 2 Week 8

Today I got an 80% on stage 7. It is my first time getting over 70% on timed
in stage 7. I have competent in Multiplication. And sometimes I'm good at
fractions and percentages and in Sq root and factors I usually get two or one
wrong. I need to get better in my speed to solve problems by the end of the
term I want to be on stage 8

All about me

My name is Lathaniel.  I am at Glen Innes School.  My best subject in school is maths.  I like maths because I find it very easy to work with numbers.  I don't like playing sport in school.  My favourite foods are pies, sausage rolls and chips.  They are so yummy.  My favourite colour is Indigo because I love this shade of purple and blue.

Screencastify

Today I Learned how to use Screencastify

Screencastify is a screen recorder. It can be used to video , games,work,how to do things and other. Screencastify is free and it has some many things you can do with it . The settings are really normal it a normal microphone and if you want a camera as you can see by looking at my video I do not use the camera and you can not use the mic if you want.

What I did  at school this week

Blackmore's Community Day

On Wednesday my class and I went to the hall to get free lunch from the Blackmore community.

                                                                                                          

First when my class and I got to the hall. we went in after room 8 .and then when we walked we saw people from the the Blackmore community and next to them was a table full of boxes with food inside. When my class and I got our food we went on the deck and sat down. The food in the box was delicious. Then after my class and I ate we talked for a little bit and played  and went back to class.

All around the blackmore community was great and I hope they return

          

Swimming with my new Teachers

Today my class and I went swimming with our new swimming coach after Room 11 .When my class and I got to the swimming pool we sat down and waited for the people who were getting changed because the rest of the class got changed in class.

When the people who went to get changed into there togs  and came of the changing room.The couch's who will be teaching us for a few weeks introduced them self my coach name is (I forgot) he told us to lay on our front and back and do things like relays and lay on your back and front for five seconds. And finally for the rest of our time my class and I had we played. 

Today I loved swimming it was great and I hope it will be like that when I go back there tomorrow .
